In order to repair small dents in your walls, you are going to use a spackling compound to fill in the dent and let it dry. For larger dents, you are going to have to use a joint compound. To apply these compounds, use a putty knife. Once dry you will need to apply two more layersof the compound in order to properly fill the dents.
no matter what size the dent, make sure to sand down the sealant so that it is flush with the wall for the best results .
Nail holes are a very simple fix! All you need to do is apply putty to the unsightly hole and wait for it to dry. Once it has dried, sand it down so that the spot is flush with the wall. Once done, you are ready to paint over this wall and restore the room to its former glory.
If you have a doorknob-sized hole in your drywall, you will need to purchase a wall patch kit that contains a self-adhesive mesh patch. Apply the patch to the hole in the wall and then use your putty knife to cover it. Use a criss-cross pattern to properly marry the putty to the wall and then let it dry. Once dry, determine how many more coats you will require to properly seal the hole. Once the hole is properly filled, sand it down so it is flush with the wall and you are ready to paint!
